I Now Have A Cast

Well I got the stitches out and a cast on Wednesday. Here are some Pics before I got the cast on. My Ankle
My Knee
My Heel

I know gross right. The doc told me that I was healing better than a lot of his patients, so that is really good. Its amazing how fast everything stiffen's up. I had to get X-ray's and they made me bend my knee clear up, and the lady wouldn't let me do it on my own pace she just hurried up and did it for me. Then she made me turn and lay my ankle that had just been sliced open on the table I thought I was going to die. Then I got my cast on the lady that put that on had to keep streching my muscles that hurt pretty bad, which made me laugh so hard, then Tony started laughing, and then the cast lady started laughing. It was pretty funny. I also attempted to go to work. Let's just say I lasted about 2 hours and then they sent me home. I just got so sick to my stomach and light headed not fun. I also went to Boston's baseball game yesterday, which is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Boston did great. I did good too until I the ride home then the same feeling hit me again, but I was sitting up for about 2 hours again so I think that might be my limit. I can sit up for a as long as my ankle is level with me but if it's lower, like resting on the ground or something like that then it makes me sick after a couple of hours. Well that's about it for now

Still Recovering

Well Recovering is a lot harder than I thought it would be. The pain is fine no big deal there I am just very very bored. Clearly I did not think this out I forgot about stairs. They are brutal especially my stairs leading down stairs I haven't even attempted them. They make me very nervous which means Tony will be doing the laundry for a little while. Grandma's house is definately the easiest to get into while my mom's is the hardest, although those are the only one's I've tried so far besides my own (now I wish I hadn't gotten rid of the ramp into my house just kidding). I get a hard cast on wednesday and hopefully the stitches out the are totally the worst part. I am pretty sure it will be pink I asked a certain 3 year-old which color is should get. (thanks for the tip Brityn). Well I'm not up to much especially now that Tony is back on graveyards and I'm still trying to figure out how to carry things while using my crutches that is definately trickie. Well I hope to see you all soon and I just wanted to congratulate Tres and Jamie for making 4 YEARS and hope for many more!!

Recovery

Recovery is going slow and I hate pain meds they do not agree with me. So far i've mostly slept and watched tv. I am getting bored though. Unfortunately I still get really dizzy. Thats what I hate. My mom and grandma have both brought me over dinner, which has really been more for Tony than me since I haven't really felt like eating. I have started to cut down on the pain meds though I take half of one every four hour but I wish I could stop them altoghter. well I'm not going to say much cause I think I need to go lay down again but I hope you enjoy the picture:)

BBQ'S and FRIENDS

Saturday was Justin's birthday so we went over to Justin and Jenica's for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun. We got to see some old friend's. We caught up with Amy and Derek, I don't think we've seen them since we got married. It's kinda crazy because there are about four of us who all got married at the same time, but we still have to ask how long everyone has been married it just makes me laugh.

Update on the surgery

The surgery is officially April 24th so next THURSDAY! I'm a little nervous about but mostly just glad I can get something done for it. I found out today that I might actually be staying a night in the hospital. They told me it is up to me, so I guess I'll see how I feel and what time I actually go in at. Well That's about it so hopefully something exciting happens so I can write about it.

MRI's and Ankle's

Well I got a MRI done on my ankle on the 31st of March and I got the results today. By the way MRI's are not that bad except for holding still the was torture. So I had to sit at the Doctor's office for about an hour before they even talked to me (that sucked). Then I finally met the actual doctor this time and not just his P.A who was very nice. The doc looked over my MRI's and said I have a subtalar coalition which pretty much I have 1 bone where there should be 2. Which wouldn't be a problem except they haven't totally fused so it is still trying to move. So now I have two options I can get orthopedic shoe-SCARY- or I can have surgery on it. Tony and I have opted for the latter. With the shoe's the doc said I would get about 50% relief from the pain, but with the surgery I should get about 90% which I like a lot better. Plus he said no one really has regrets about getting the surgery. I will lose a little bit of mobility in it, but not much more than what I already have, so I am not too worried about that. The only thing is work, we are a little short handed but hopefully they will work with me. Well thats all I have to report right now and hopefully I can get the surgery soon.
