Christmas Tree Hunting!

The sunday after Thanksgiving we went christmas tree hunting. It was a pretty nice day, it was a little windy so I can't call it perfect. We went to a new area that was flatter than we usually go to, so that was nice. It makes walking easier for me when it flat. The joint in my ankle that was fused was the one that deals with uneven ground so my ankle is still learning how to compensate for that. Everyone found a tree pretty quickly. Afterwards we found this neat little area that was practically on the side of the cliffs, but it has an awesome view. Also it was totally out of the wind, so you completely forgot there was any, until you got back to the top. Well here are some pictures from the hunt!!!

Tony trying to figure out the shovel.

Tony and I with our tree. I know its really fat, but we have a big living room!

Whitney annoyed that I'm taking her picture, she wasn't feeling very good on the hunt

Preston and Mandi's tree. It's so cute and little perfect for their little apartment.

The view from the top of the cliff side.

This was the view from where we ate lunch! It was Beautiful.

The Twilight Midnight Showing!

My Twilight ticket!!
I went with my friend Jenica to the midnight showing of Twilight! I was a little worried because I don't like who they got to play Edward and Bella, however it was still good for the movie version of Twilight. Luckily the guys who played Jacob and James made up for Edward! I liked them a lot :). Jenica and I got there at about 7:45 and went to dinner with some girls from her work. They were all really nice, then at about 9:00 we went a got in line so we could get good seat, then finally at about 10 O'clock we got to get our seats. We entered a silent raffle that wasn't really silent, it was very interesting mostly funny. I didn't win anything in the raffle but our tickets had numbers on them and I won a gift card to a deli in bountiful. At midnight the movie started and there were a lot of screaming girls (I was not one of them, I am not a WOO girl). The nice thing about going to the midnight showing was no previews although sometimes I like those. Oh and I almost forgot there were a lot of interesting people there in interesting attire, but my favorite was the 11 year-old who wore a tutu, tube socks, some really short shorts, way too much makeup. I couldn't believe her mom would let her leave like that. All in all it was a really fun night and I'm glad I went. I even stayed awake during the movie which is really saying something!

Crazy things that Bentley has to put up with!

Tony thought it would be hilarious to get a picture of Bentley with antler's that he found deer hunting this year. Why he even brought the antler's home I will never know. Doesn't he look like he is having the best time ever!
He tried to get Shelby but she is too fast!

Things that have happened since Halloween!

First a couple of days before halloween I carved two pumpkins, because I always get one for Tony and he never carves one with me.
The Cat!

Dracula!

Then on Halloween Whitney and my parents and I went on a ghost tour of downtown salt lake that was pretty cool.

The next day my family went up to the salt lake city cemetary to check out some of the graves they had told us about the night before. We also went to the cheese cake factory and went bowling.
Then Tony, my dad, and Preston have been working on putting siding up on my house. It coming along, the whole south side is now done and most of the front.
Then I thought this picture was funny of my dog, Shelby, We have a space heater in my living room and every time we turn it on she lays directly in front of it. It has two sensors on it and if she get to close which she does alot it turns off. One day Tony would turn it another direction and she would give him a mean look, get up and go lay by it again, We did this severly times to her. It was hilarious!
Then to top it all off, Whitney had a bad hair cut! Which I think is hilarious, her not so much. Luckily she has a good attitude about it and knows it will grow out.

Some of Tony's Pics from spain

I'm Back

I know I haven't blogged for a long time we got a new computer and nothing was on it so I was a slacker, but I'm back now so let me tell you what's been going on! Let's see the last thing I wrote about was the fourth of july and now it's october. The rest of July was not that interesting, but August was Mandapalooza so we went out for dinner and Tony got me a digital picture frame, which is pretty cool. We also pitched our roof which went well.
It was a very BIG project but well worth it. Then we had Tony's birthday and I got him a new fishing reel for his pole that my grandpa built him. I think he was pretty excited. Now we are to the hunting season, the elk wasn't very good this year, Tony didn't see anything. The deer hunt is this weekend coming up, hopefully they have better luck. I've also joined a bowling league which is mostly fun except when I suck. But it is nice to get out of the house. We also bought my uncle Jim's four wheeler and took a little four wheeling trip with Justin and Jenica. Oh I almost forgot the most important thing. Preston and Mandi got married in the Salt Lake temple it was very beautiful. I also have some pictures from Tony's trip to Spain.

Happy Fourth of July (a little late)

We had a great fourth, well OK maybe not a great fourth since just about everybody got sick in my family with the stomach flu or something including Tony! Luckily not me, but pretty much everyone else. However just about everyone made it for the fish fry at my grandma's house. There was also swimming, however I still can not get in the pool because my heel is not healing very well. Very frustrating!! We still had a good time though. We ate some very tasty fried food, and had a fun firework show. Luckily Brandi's kids were there because everything is always more fun with little kids.

Three years and counting!!

Tony and I have been married for three years now and WOW has it gone fast! Our anniversary was July 2nd and so far we've had a blast and I hope to keep partying like rock stars. We went to the Anniversary Inn at Logan. It was a lot of fun. We had the Jessie James Hideout. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic getaway. Well here are some pics and a video!

Tony is home!!

Tony arrived yesterday safe and sound. I also can walk now with two shoes. Life is all around great right now. Spain won the euro cup so we were a little worried about them rioting in the streets and preventing the guys from getting to the airport. But all was good, and they made it just fine. I'll post pictures of the trip soon as I get them on the computer. I just wanted to update everyone.

I finished my project!

I finished a couple of weeks ago, but I just barely got pictures. This is just one of the many projects I want to do. All the flower pots are buckets that I collected from work. So I only spent about 20 dollars total on the pots after I bought the spray paint. There are eight of them, and they turned out amazing. It was one of the cheapest projects I've done. So Tony should be happy. Whitney helped me with the project and has been watering all of the flowers . Well here are some pictures. These are the buckets with the gray primer on them.
These are the different colors we used. Very Very Bright!!

Tony now has less than one week!

Woo Hoo!! Tony will be home in less than a week now. I don't have much to show for it. Other than I have been walking with out any crutches for over a week now and will hopefully be out of my boot when I go to pick up Tony at the airport. I did play kick ball yesterday at the Whitney Family Picnic. That was fun, even though I just played pitcher. I can barely walk on grass let alone run on anything. I also helped with a relay race the kids played. It was very nice to see everyone again. I always love getting together with family. The last three weeks have actually gone by pretty fast now I just hope that this one goes by fast as well. Tony says he is pretty tired of working he has at least worked a few hours every day. I think that is crazy as most of you know I have never done that, and probably never will. But that's just me. More power to those that can and do. Now if I just had to be on vacation that long I think I could do it. Well every one party like rock stars and I'll see you all later. By the way here is a funny video I found of Tony!

Two more weeks

Two more weeks for just about everything now. Two weeks and Tony comes home. Two weeks and I can wear a shoe again. Why? Because my doctor told me I had to walk to weeks with out crutches and guess who is walking with out crutches? Yup that's right me. I also can almost curl all my toe's. Whitney thinks she is taking such good care of my house and she is not doing TOO bad. Better than Tony at least she cleans bathrooms. Although she keeps stealing all of my clothes which means we have to do laundry a lot more. But we've been having fun. I think she is getting sick of me yelling when I get frustrated though. I'm learning that I have my dad's temper (almost exact). I already feel bad for my kids if I ever have any. Well I'm off to physical therapy now. Hopefully I don't have to do this very long it's $25 a session.

I got my cast off!!

Finally it's gone! Now I just have an ugly boot. I also have to learn how to walk again, which is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I went to physical therapy yesterday, which wasn't too bad. Just a lot of stretching, squats and balancing. I can tell it's already getting stronger, or at least it's wishful thinking. I can't wait to be with out the crutches for good. The doctor said that everything is healing good so hopefully it won't take me to long. I have to wear the boot for two weeks after I can walk with out crutches so I am keeping my finger's crossed and doing all of my excersises. I'm still trying for my goal of having the boot off before Tony gets home.

This is harder than I thought

Tony has been gone since Thursday and it is now Sunday and I am going CRAZY! I've offically talked to him for 9 minutes and 39seconds since he has been gone. Oh and of course I went and saw SEX AND THE CITY yesterday, which was amazing. However, tony called me while I was there. If he had only called 10 minutes later it would have been over. I have started a project though so that should last me until Tuesday or Wednesday. I also have a few more projects that I want to do but I have to wait until my cast is off which is in a week!

Tony is in Spain

Well Tony made the long trip to Spain. He arrived safe and sound. He finally called me on Friday around 2:00 p.m. here, so about 10:00 p.m. there. They went straight from the airport to the plant for a little tour and then to the grocery store. I didn't get much from him, we only talked for about 3 minutes. Hopefully the time will fly but probably not.

Tony and Spain

Tony leaves for spain on Thursday the 29th and won't be home until the 30th of June. So I have been learning how to pay bills. They're not too bad! Tony is going to
Spain to work. They have opened up a new line over there and Tony is going to help the Spainards learn how to work it. Yes, there is definately going to be a language barrier. I am a little nervous to be by myself all this time. Luckily there is lots and lots of family and friends close by, especially since I'll have about a week and a half with my cast still on. I'm getting around pretty good now so thats good. Well thats about all for now. Hopefully I will do some fun things while he is gone.

Here are my gardening pic from Tony's phone

Gardening

Today Tony and I did some gardening. Well OK so he did all the gardening, but I did go to the store and help pick out flower's. Believe me that was a pretty good work out for me, especially since there wasn't anything to sit down on to rest. We are working very hard to get our yard looking good. I never realized how much work it really does take. Sorry Mom and Dad for not helping out more. The dogs sat in the front yard with us. Shelby had to be tied up to a pole but she lays down, Bentley on the other hand has to lay by me and that's if I can even get him to lay down. He mostly walks around, oh and on top of my cast. At least its hard.

I Now Have A Cast

Well I got the stitches out and a cast on Wednesday. Here are some Pics before I got the cast on. My Ankle
My Knee
My Heel

I know gross right. The doc told me that I was healing better than a lot of his patients, so that is really good. Its amazing how fast everything stiffen's up. I had to get X-ray's and they made me bend my knee clear up, and the lady wouldn't let me do it on my own pace she just hurried up and did it for me. Then she made me turn and lay my ankle that had just been sliced open on the table I thought I was going to die. Then I got my cast on the lady that put that on had to keep streching my muscles that hurt pretty bad, which made me laugh so hard, then Tony started laughing, and then the cast lady started laughing. It was pretty funny. I also attempted to go to work. Let's just say I lasted about 2 hours and then they sent me home. I just got so sick to my stomach and light headed not fun. I also went to Boston's baseball game yesterday, which is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Boston did great. I did good too until I the ride home then the same feeling hit me again, but I was sitting up for about 2 hours again so I think that might be my limit. I can sit up for a as long as my ankle is level with me but if it's lower, like resting on the ground or something like that then it makes me sick after a couple of hours. Well that's about it for now

Still Recovering

Well Recovering is a lot harder than I thought it would be. The pain is fine no big deal there I am just very very bored. Clearly I did not think this out I forgot about stairs. They are brutal especially my stairs leading down stairs I haven't even attempted them. They make me very nervous which means Tony will be doing the laundry for a little while. Grandma's house is definately the easiest to get into while my mom's is the hardest, although those are the only one's I've tried so far besides my own (now I wish I hadn't gotten rid of the ramp into my house just kidding). I get a hard cast on wednesday and hopefully the stitches out the are totally the worst part. I am pretty sure it will be pink I asked a certain 3 year-old which color is should get. (thanks for the tip Brityn). Well I'm not up to much especially now that Tony is back on graveyards and I'm still trying to figure out how to carry things while using my crutches that is definately trickie. Well I hope to see you all soon and I just wanted to congratulate Tres and Jamie for making 4 YEARS and hope for many more!!

Recovery

Recovery is going slow and I hate pain meds they do not agree with me. So far i've mostly slept and watched tv. I am getting bored though. Unfortunately I still get really dizzy. Thats what I hate. My mom and grandma have both brought me over dinner, which has really been more for Tony than me since I haven't really felt like eating. I have started to cut down on the pain meds though I take half of one every four hour but I wish I could stop them altoghter. well I'm not going to say much cause I think I need to go lay down again but I hope you enjoy the picture:)

BBQ'S and FRIENDS

Saturday was Justin's birthday so we went over to Justin and Jenica's for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun. We got to see some old friend's. We caught up with Amy and Derek, I don't think we've seen them since we got married. It's kinda crazy because there are about four of us who all got married at the same time, but we still have to ask how long everyone has been married it just makes me laugh.

Update on the surgery

The surgery is officially April 24th so next THURSDAY! I'm a little nervous about but mostly just glad I can get something done for it. I found out today that I might actually be staying a night in the hospital. They told me it is up to me, so I guess I'll see how I feel and what time I actually go in at. Well That's about it so hopefully something exciting happens so I can write about it.

MRI's and Ankle's

Well I got a MRI done on my ankle on the 31st of March and I got the results today. By the way MRI's are not that bad except for holding still the was torture. So I had to sit at the Doctor's office for about an hour before they even talked to me (that sucked). Then I finally met the actual doctor this time and not just his P.A who was very nice. The doc looked over my MRI's and said I have a subtalar coalition which pretty much I have 1 bone where there should be 2. Which wouldn't be a problem except they haven't totally fused so it is still trying to move. So now I have two options I can get orthopedic shoe-SCARY- or I can have surgery on it. Tony and I have opted for the latter. With the shoe's the doc said I would get about 50% relief from the pain, but with the surgery I should get about 90% which I like a lot better. Plus he said no one really has regrets about getting the surgery. I will lose a little bit of mobility in it, but not much more than what I already have, so I am not too worried about that. The only thing is work, we are a little short handed but hopefully they will work with me. Well thats all I have to report right now and hopefully I can get the surgery soon.
