Whew! what a week

We have had so much fun this week. Tony had to work graveyards over the weekend which is always hard. Emma and I get really bored and hate being quite so we usually hang out at my parents but they were gone this weekend, so we had to find other means of entertainment. We started on Saturday by going to a bbq with some friends from work and then to the taylorsville dayzz fireworks. It was a blast and Emma loved the fireworks. The louder they got the bigger her smile got.

On Sunday, Tony ended up taking that night off because he was going to go to a bowling tournament, well that didn't work out so he was able to come to our McFall bbq with us instead. Earlier in the afternoon Emma and I went swimming at my grandma's house, it was so much fun to swim alone with her, she kicked around in her tube for about an hour. Getting the cover on and off by myself was a lot trickier than I though it would be however.  Emma had a lot of fun hanging out with her cousin though at the bbq that night and it was a lot of fun to get to see the McFall family.

On Monday, Tony and I took Emma to the aquarium and had a lot of fun. She could see the fish swimming around and tried to grab a couple of them through the glass. We also got to see them feed the penguins, which was  pretty awesome. They are so cute I could have watched them for hours.

Wednesday we went to the zoo with the same friends from the Saturday bbq, it was so much fun. The animals were a lot more active on Wednesday then they were last time we took Emma to the zoo. I tried to get her to see some of the animals but she was way more interested in the cute boys we were with.

I COULD NOT GET SOME OF THIS PICTURES TO TURN THE RIGHT WAY SORRY!

Emma at 6 months

Wow how time flies! I can't believe Emma is 6 months already. I love having her in my life and am amazed by the things she does. She learns really fast, and sometimes that is scary...
She does what I like to call scrawling. It's a mix between crawling and scooting., and boy does she move and get everywhere and anywhere. She loves to eat solid foods and especially like fruit from my plate. She is still an awesome sleeper. Right now she is starting to figure out how to pull her self up on things. And as I found out today she absolutely loves to swim. She is a natural in the water.
We drove up to the mountains over the weekend and took  some pics. Here are a few...

Oh and she's also learned how to shake her head NO!!! I am in trouble!

Emma's 6th month appointment and the Zoo

Emma and I by the giraffes

Emma had her 6 month appointment today. Doctor told us she is doing great, but we are already in trouble if she is scooting around already and lunging. Emma weigh 14lbs and 11 oz and was 25 and 1/2 inches long. She is very petite. She also made me feel better about how I'm feeding Emma (that's been the most stressful thing for me as a mom, everybody has a different way). Emma had to get shots today which are always sad but she is so brave and she barely cries. Her face however does turn bright red until the shock wears off and she takes a breath again. The doctors office that we go to is so fast at giving the shots it makes it nice. After the doctors we took Emma to the Zoo. She wasn't really to interested in the animals but we still had fun. She did like the giraffes though. Here are some pics from our fun day.

Emma's awesome band-aids. Tony loved them
Tiger cubs (they are a year old today
The lynx, it was right by one of the window so we got awesome pics

Emma's favorite trick!!!

Emma thinks this is the coolest trick every. Any time she is fussy I just tickel her lips and she stops. It cracks both of us up everytime.

Emma's big weekend!

Emma had two teeth break through this weekend.  Luckily she wasn't too grumpy about it. She slept a little less and was not quite as happy as usual but if that is how all the teething goes I'll take it. I'll try to get some pictures when they come up some more.  Emma has also learned how to "army crawl" and she is now scooting all over my living room floor. Her legs still go a million miles an hour but she's starting to get the hang of it and I think we'll have a crawler sooner than later.

Emma cracks me up! I don't know if she actually thinks she is moving or not but I still love it. Watch and decide what you think

5 things that I love about Emma

Emma is now five months old and it's crazy how fast time flies. Especially when you are having fun! Here are 5 things that I love about Emma:
1. Her smile and how she smile at everyone
2. Her giggle and how contagious it is
3. How much water she splashes out of the bath tub when I give her a bath. I might as well just get in with her
4. Watch her roll over and see how frustrated she gets when she can't get to where she wants to be. I think I'm going to be in trouble soon. She's very determined to crawl and she now inch worms.
5. That she is sleeping through the night. She must have found out how cranky I am with out sleep and she know she wants a happy mom.

Well those are just 5 of the many things I love about her and here's a video of her splish and splashing....
