Seattle!

Tony and I took a road trip to Seattle over the weekend and it was great we did a lot a really fun stuff that I've never done before in all the times we've gone up to Seattle. We left on Friday early in the morning and drove all day, which did take a little longer since I had to stop more often. We still made it by about 8:30 and that was the only day that it rained on us while we were there. That's right I went to Seattle to get out of the rain! On Saturday we went to a museum called experience music project, its about rock and roll, and all the bands that have come out of Seattle. It was made for the best rock and roller of all time JIMI HENDRIX! My absolute favorite. The also had this sculpture or something like that which was made out of tons of guitars and played a song. It was pretty cool looking. After that museum we went to the Mariners baseball game it was a lot of fun and they won(even better). I had a ball park hot dog, some cotton candy, and some amazing garlic french fries. They were so good, but the smell was a little overwhelming for me. That was all on Saturday.

On Sunday, we went to a great restaurant called rock bottom. They have a ton of good food and great beer. I didn't have any of the beer of course and besides the whole pregnant thing I don't like it at all. But other people we were with do :) I had a very good dish called mac and chicken. It had mac and cheese and chicken, but it had some seasoning in it that was really good. After that Tony, Tres and I went on the underground tour which was very interesting. Seattle has a very colorful background, but it was a good tour and if you ever make it to Seattle I highly suggest going on it. After that tour we met back up with Jamie at Best Buy where Tres found rock band. So we had a fun night of rock band. That was pretty much it for Sunday.

On Monday, Tony and I went on a duck tour of Seattle, which was hilarious. You get on one of those world war 2 amphibian truck/boats and do half the tour on land and the other half in the water. Our tour guide was so funny we like him a lot. After the tour I was hungry of course, what else is new, so we went down to pier 66 and had lunch at a restaurant called Anthony's and it was so good. I had a clam chowder in a bread bowl, and I'm not really sure what Tony had and he couldn't remember. It was a lot of different fish and seafood in a tomato based broth. I also had a Hawaiian ice tea, which was so delicious. I want to make it myself. It was ice tea with a mint syrup in it. MMM! so good, the only thing now is I can't find mint syrup and I don't know how to make mint syrup. So if anyone knows how to make a mint syrup or where to buy it let me know. After we all got home that night, Tony and I from down town and Jamie from work, we all went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was as always very good!
THE ONLY SURVIVING PICTURE!

On Tuesday, we got up early and left for Salt lake. We made it home at about 8:30, where we came home to a great surprise of my yard looking amazing! My dad and Whitney had mowed, edged and totally cleaned up my backyard from all the construction work at our house! I am so happy they did this and love my family very much for watching my house and the crazy dogs while I was gone! I would post some pics but unfortunately the memory card in my camera decided to DIE right at the end of our trip so I have lost all of my pictures. Hopefully my wonderful cousin Matt might be able to rescue the pictures but we will have to see! I do have one picture of Tony at the pier that I took with my cell phone after my camera died but that is it! It's up above with our Monday day. Also sorry about the bad quality but what do you expect with a cell phone camera!

baby showers, weddings, and dancing oh my!

Sorry its been so long since I lasted blogged. I've just been so tired and busy, but mostly tired. Well we went to our ultra sound and they are about 90% sure its a boy, however we have one on July 2nd with our actual doctor so hopefully they will be able to tell us for sure! In the meantime I have just downloaded some rock and roll lullaby's! They are so fun I love them. Once again sorry it took me so long to post that, now on to this weekend!!!!

First was my cousin Kyle's wedding. I am so happy for him and his new wife is so cute. We are happy to have her in the family. They got married on Friday which it of course rained, but it was still very nice. They got married in the new Draper temple and my parents said it was beautiful. On thursday before they got married we had a wedding dinner for them, where their family challenged our family to a softball game. It was a lot of fun. I actually caught a line drive, but I'm usually good at catching things coming straight for me its when I have to move that I miss. I also got to hits, I had a runner though since it's still a little tough for me to run with my ankle.

Second was a very fun baby shower for two of my friends at work! They are sisters and due two days apart. It was a lot of fun and I was very jealous of all the fun stuff that they recieved and it made me realize all of the stuff I'm going to need. And that totally stresses me out. The shower was suppose to end at 7 and I ended up staying until 8 oops! My one friend who is pregnant also has a little girl who will be two in August and she was so cute there. She fed me about a bucket full of popcorn. I think I've been popcorned out for life, but then she shared her ice cream and that was really good.

And lastly, which acutally didn't happen this week end but tonight was Whitney's dance recitetal. It was fun and she did a really good job, however at first we didn't even know if she was going to make it. Whitney was in Moab, river rafting, with her school (I know I'm jealous too). She barely made it back from that trip in time to get to the dance recital. Brityn danced tonight too, but she danced early so I missed her, which I'm really bummed about I love to watch the little kids dance and she is so cute. Well that about does it for me right now I do have some pics and a video of Whitney dancing but that will have to come later I'm exhausted right now. My work had to fire a girl last week and we have a some scheduled off almost everyday this month so I'm working extra, but at least the money will be good. And I get my chance for a vacation coming up!!!

Our Second Appointment!

Last Wednesday we had our second appointment with our doctor. We tried to hear the heartbeat but the tech could not find it with the microphone. :( but that's ok, she then did an ultrasound where we got to see the baby again, which was a lot of fun. It's gotten so much bigger. The doctor told me I am doing great. The only thing I need to watch out for is the sun because I will torch. Well I already found that out with my gardening that I did last weekend. OOPS! I did go buy sun screen though. Hopefully I'll make it through the summer ok. On Tuesday we are hopefully if the baby cooperates we will find out what we are having. I'm kinda thinking a girl but I really have no idea! So if you have any idea's or guesses or whatever I would love to hear, and all let you all know Tuesday if everything goes according to plan!

Dog's and the craziness!

Tony and I are trying to have a veggie garden this year. Well it mostly me doing Tony just helps when I need big things done. Anyway not the point to this story. So I was getting ready to plant my onions today and I look out the window and Shelby is in my fenced off garden. GRRRRR!!!! Usually she gets out as soon as she realizes she been found out, but not today! I think because I surprised her. So I go outside and I try to get her out on her own but she won't, she acts like she can't. She's totally faking it, like she didn't know how she got in there. So finally I got the hose(she hates water and is terrified of the hose). She just ran down to the other end of the garden and acted still like she couldn't figure a way out. Well I decided to get a video of it so I could show Tony when he gets home tonight. Here it is enjoy!

Um.... So I have some big news!

Tony and I are expecting our first baby! A little frightening and a lot of excitement. We had our first doctor appointment today and the doctor said everything looks fine right now. We saw the heart beat (but we didn't get to hear it). We also got our first glimpse at it. I think it looks like a peanut! We are very excited and wanted to share the news. Oh also our doctor told us our due date is November 17th 2009. However I think it will be closer to thanksgiving, and I told Tony if I'm in the hospital on thanksgiving someone better bring me pie!!! Here is the ultrasound pic!

Sick of being Sick!!!

Ok so this evil sickness started out as the flu, horrible I haven't had the flu since I was in junior high school probably, but on top of that it turned into a sinus infection (ouch!) and bronchitis. I've gone to the instacare twice now and hopefully that is it. I had to take a week off of work, which means little pay check. Now I am taking antibiotics for the sinus infection and using an inhaler for the bronchitis which taste nasty. I've never used one before YUCK! Also I didn't know your nose could be stuffy and runny at the same time what an oxymoron! I have horrible sinus pressure which I've never had before. So pretty much I am not having fun this has been going on for about 10 days now hopefully it will start to clear up with the antibiotics. Well that's enough ranting for one day! Hope all is well with everyone else!!

Marley the Kangaroo!

This little kangaroo is named Marley and she comes in to visit us at our pharmacy! This was taken a few months ago but I just found the picture again. This lady brings her in for a visit every once in a while, she takes her around to different nursing homes, retirement centers, rehab centers. You get the idea! I guess it is very good for the people at these centers to meet the little kangaroo. She is so soft it is amazing. And the tail is so strong its incrediable. I don't think that kangaroo is even a year old yet. I guess there is a Kangaroo farm some where in Utah where the rehabilitate them and use them as thearpy. Then once they become to big usually after a couple of years they send them to different zoo's around the world. It's pretty awesome when they come to visit. It makes the whole day better and I can't wait for them to visit again!
